What is the Google Guaranteed badge and is it worth it?
Paid Ads — answered straight, by an operator who builds these systems rather than an agency selling them.
It is a green checkmark on Local Services Ads showing Google verified your license, insurance, and background check, backed by a limited Google-funded guarantee for customers who are dissatisfied. For consumer home services it is generally worth the verification effort.
The longer version
The badge does two jobs: it lifts click-through because it looks like an endorsement, and it clears the trust hurdle for a homeowner deciding which stranger to let inside. In a results list where every other option is unverified, that is a real edge.
The cost is paperwork and patience. Verification requires current license and insurance documentation and background checks, and it can take a couple of weeks. Keep the documents current afterward — an expired insurance certificate pulls the badge, usually at the worst time.
